  • June 12 - The Friends of the Library Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show will be held this year on June 12th, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hitchin' Post in Norwo
  • June 26th - Wright Stuff Challenge 5K/10K Run/Walk, register online at www.active.com  or 7:45am at the San Miguel County Fairgrounds. This benefits the Wright Stuff Community Foundation. www.wrightstufffoundation.org

Fall & Winter Activities
Tour the high mountains for incredible fall colors during Southwestern Colorado's Colorfest and migrate birds arrival.
The surrounding mesa and Uncompahgre National Forest support a variety of wildlife. Norwood is the center of some of the finest hunting grounds in the country.
Cross-country ski, snowshoe, or snow mobile in nearby national forests or high country ranch land.
Ice fish at Miramonte reservoir
Excellent alpine skiing at Telluride , 33 miles east on Hwy. 145.

 

Spring & Summer Activities
Windsurf, swim, water-ski, sail, or fish at Miramonte Reservoir
Climb Lone Cone Mountain in a day or explore desert canyon lands
Fly-fish, gold pan, or raft on the San Miguel River
Spring runoff on the San Miguel and Dolores rivers inspire high adventure for rafting, kayaking and canoeing through beautiful desert canyon country.
San Miguel County's race track hosts several annual events including the Spring Horse Meet... "Bush Track" racing at its finest. New indoor arena and events center.
Springfun: Rock's scrambling and collectible huntlers.
Wildlife watching: Turkey
